The SEED Foundation is a national nonprofit that partners with urban communities to provide innovative educational opportunities that prepare underserved students for success in college and beyond.  The SEED Foundation is a catalyst for change in urban education:  it developed the SEED boarding school model and opened its first school, The SEED School of Washington, D.C., in 1998.
Volunteering at The SEED School of Washington, D.C. is a great opportunity to connect to your community and make a big difference! The SEED School is convenient to Capitol Hill, just off of East Capitol Street across the Anacostia River from RFK Stadium, and has flexible hours to fit your schedule. Volunteer Positions Available at The SEED School:
After-School Tutor/Mentor: Volunteers work with two students during evening study hall. The tutoring sessions focus on completing homework, building study skills, developing organizational techniques and setting goals. Tutoring times are Monday and/or Wednesday 6 pm - 8:30 pm and Tuesday and/or Thursday 4 pm - 6 pm
